The Indigenous Peoples' Health Research Centre is proud to announce two new grants for communities and researchers. Please see the information below and visit our website for full competition details at:
http://iphrc.ca/researchers_communities.

Note: The deadline for both funding opportunities is April 15th, 2012 so apply now.

1. Community Network Research Grant ($15,000 maximum value)

Description: IPHRC’s Community Network Research (CNR) Grant provides funding to complete community-based research projects focusing on Indigenous health.  In response to feedback expressing the need for such a program, the CNR grant promotes the principles of OCAP (Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession) and through direct community involvement, ensures relevant and appropriate research.

Eligibility: The funding is open to Aboriginal communities and health organizations in partnership with health –related researcher(s) with an academic or research appointment at a Saskatchewan university.  Both the researcher and community partner are equally co-principal applicants; however, the researcher would be the nominated principal applicant and, therefore, would assume administrative and financial responsibility for the grant.

Note: University of Regina applicants who have a solid plan to apply for national or SHRF grants will receive matching money from the Office of the Vice President - Research, University of Regina.
